Special Gratitude  

To a past therapist, Nan Girk:  in 1991, you assigned me to read "I Hate You, Don't Leave Me" by Jerold J. Kreisman - one of the first books written about BPD.  Yes, it described me to a "T".  I should have asked a lot of questions.  You say something in me I refused to acknowledge.  I wasn't diagnosed until early 2004 with the disorder.  I would now have a lot less scars on my body, my mind and my soul if only I had stepped out of my denial.  I blame no one but myself.  I still have a copy of that book.  The pages have yellowed.  I think all clients who even remotely have this disorder, should be made to read it as an assignment.  Again, I thank you.
